sleep, a dream

By Hass :: March 28, 2005 @ 05:45 AM

We just had our best night of sleep to date. Sprout went down at 8:30 and slept until 2:45. We were out by 9 and not up until 3. That is simply an incredible duration of sleep. I'm not sure if everybody out there can grasp how long 6 hours of sleep is. In contrast, Josie normally sleeps from 90 minutes to 3 hours. 6 hours is long enough to dream, and dream well. It's long enough to for you to wake up and have it take a minute to remember that you wear glasses and have a daugther. This is the single longest stretch of sleep we have had since before she was born.

An auspicious start to my return to work today.

Congratulations on six continuous hours of sleep! Maybe the trip to Ikea wore Josie out and gave her something to dream about, like decorating her room in Swedish contemporary.

I can understand that, I'm always ready for a long nap after that trip! The problem is that I always wind up dreaming about giant Swedish meatballs and Canadian exchanges! :)
