As of this afternoon this is how young Josie rates against her peers:
Length = 75th percentile
Weight = between 50th and 75th percentile
Head Circumference = 50th percentile
That means she's taller then 75% of the babies out there, heavier then 50 to 75% of them, and you get the picture right? I can stop explaining how percentiles work?
Or, if you'd just like to see the numbers:
Length = 22.5 inches
Weight = 10 lbs 12 oz
Head Circumference = 15 inches
Not to mention, just to show off in front of the Dr, Miss J held her head up at a 45 degree angle when placed on her tummy, and - rolled from her tummy to her side (a trick her Mother hadn't even yet witnessed)
She also bravely endured a Hep B vaccination - her second actually, they (read the hospital) gave her the first booster mere days after she was born.
Her next well baby appointment is the big kahuna of visits - the start of her real vaccinations - 4 shots await her, 2 in each thigh. Should be a good time.
Next appointment: May 16th
We've found that once they get to be about 15lbs they start sleeping through the night. Looks like you're almost there! They grow so fast....
