« Shoot-out at the okay Pediatrician :: An early crawler? »

Sooner or later it was bound to happen, either Hass or myself was going to bang the kids head on a door, the side of the crib, or the floor while we were putting her down to pump plastic in the baby gym.

Since I stay home with Josie, I assumed I would have the dubious honor. As it happened, and for the record - Hass did it first.

Sunday afternoon Josie thwacked her head on the side of the door while her and Daddy were peering around it.

Also for the record - Josie was and is fine, with not even the slightest blemish to indicate she's had her first head-smacking. Hass on the other hand spent most of the day wracked with guilt - I think he promised her a brand new car when she turn 16 to atone for the mishap.

Clearly I'll have to be the voice of reason in this instance. That is until I thump her head and promise her a fully financed European vacation upon graduation from college.

Not to fear my dear
Heaven knows how many times you were dropped or bumped in the head so to speak and look how you turned out
Alas...another star in the making

Everytime our kids got hurt, we were right there within a few feet of them - being good parents - like when Hass slid into a bidet and acquired the little scar on the bottom of his chin and Kadi fell off her first tricycle and got the little scar on the bottom of her chin.
